Chelsea’s striker saga has been long documented this summer, with the Blues seemingly keen to get Diego Costa out of the door and get him replaced with one of Europe’s best forwards.
Of course, Chelsea were the club that brought Lukaku to the Premier League, having signed him as a teenager before selling him to Everton several years ago. Since then, he has turned into one of England’s most lethal forwards, and there is no denying that he is ready to step up into the Chelsea first team.
However, whilst many fans in the pub have been expecting a move from Chelsea, with various media publication reporting interest from the club, that now appears unlikely to happen – with the BBC reporting that Man Utd have now agreed a fee with Everton for the striker – with a move to Old Trafford now looking increasingly likely. This development will, of course, leave Chelsea out in the cold, with no real replacement seemingly in sight.
