News: Ayra Starr: Setting Fan Feuds Aside, Asake & Seyi Vibez to Feature on Her New Album

Renowned Afrobeats artist Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, also known as Ayra Starr, recently appeared on Beats 99.9 FM’s morning drive show. During her interview, Ayra discussed her upcoming album and the featured artists, including two of Nigeria’s top Afrofusion stars, despite their rumored rivalry. She also mentioned meeting Rihanna and feeling confident that her music would appeal to the American pop star. Ayra expressed her admiration for both Seyi Vibez and Asake’s music styles.

Signed with the Mavins record label, Ayra emphasized her focus on unique sounds and mentioned she was unaware of any alleged conflict between Asake and Seyi Vibez. She particularly enjoyed Seyi Vibez’s song “Different Pattern” and wanted to create something similar, leading her to collaborate with him. Seyi Vibez provided his verse within three days. Ayra also highlighted how promptly Asake responded to her collaboration request. Previously, Yung Duu had suggested that Ayra feature Seyi Vibez on one of her tracks.
