Afrobeats star Ayodeji Balogun, known worldwide as Wizkid, has strongly responded to critics who labeled him a hater following a recent tweet. According to Tooxclusive, this controversy arose after Davido recently confirmed that he and Chioma are set to wed on June 25 in Lagos, despite recent infidelity allegations against him. On Sunday evening, Davido shared pre-wedding photos with Chioma on social media. Shortly after, Wizkid caused a stir by tweeting "Lol [lots of laughs]."

The Starboy boss seemingly added fuel to the fire on Monday morning with another tweet that fans interpreted as a dig at Davido. On his X account, Wizkid wrote, “Saying a prayer for every understanding woman on earth! Your king loves you.” Many linked this to Davido and Chioma’s upcoming nuptials, suggesting that Wizkid's comment was a veiled jab at his rival. However, Wizkid clarified that it was merely an expression of his love for his family, insisting he harbors no ill will and wishes everyone well.

Wizkid, who is in a relationship with his manager Jada Pollock, with whom he shares two young sons, expressed his deepening faith and family values. In a series of tweets, he stated:
